Mayumi is a music composer and a teacher.
As a child in Japan she studied extensive music theory via the Hammond organ.
She had many children as students  that she taught keyboard in Japan.
She now gives keyboard lessons to children in Maui.

You may see a video entitled Ancestors of the Deep of wild Spinner Dolphins in Maui
and hear a soundtrack of original music that Mayumi composed.
Mayumi's composition was inspired by her swimming and interacting with the
Spinner Dolphins in the open ocean.
She believes that when she composes and plays, the dolphin spirit
were there to create together.
It is water music, the sound from the ocean.
